Mission: To provide a safe, structured, clean and sober living environment conducive to learning and applying a recovery-based design for living.
Vision: That each house member has the opportunity to find a spiritual solution to their addiction and all other life difficulties.
The Foundation House operates under the guidance of a service board dedicated to serving house members. This board is comprised of several active members in recovery, each of them with several years of continuous sobriety and service to the community. The house functions as a democracy with the support of these men, and they are actively involved in the lives of each house member. Additionally, the house is supervised by a live in member of the recovery community. The house supervisor works directly with the service board and its committees, as well as house members to ensure that house members are on track and that their recovery needs are being met. We also have house a lead who assists the house supervisor and for additional direct support to newcomers as they begin living a life in recovery.
The Foundation House is a safe place where men can focus on learning how to live a life free of alcohol and other drugs. Foundation House has the support of our recovery community's most involved men with several years of dedication to helping others to achieve sobriety. Our home provides community, structure, comfort and mentoring. We encourage and support house members in developing new life skills, while building a foundation in recovery to create lasting success. We require regular and active attendance in a 12-Step program, maintain a high level of accountability among our peer network, and provide a supportive environment for men who are committed to living healthy, clean and sober. House members have 24/7 support from the house manager, house supervisor, sponsors, and numerous men within recovery community. There are 12 Step workshops and weekly 12 Step meetings onsite. House members are expected to have a sponsor who is able to effectively walk them through the 12 Steps as outlined in approved recovery-based literature.
We believe that recovery is a lifestyle, and requires action, commitment, and support from a network of like-minded men. We work together to help everyone in our community grow and thrive. We believe in a high level of accountability. We are nothing short of a "brotherhood." We truly care for one another; we live together or die alone.
